  • hand washing at least once a week.
    keeping the vinyl clean is vital to getting the most life and best appearance out of it. Neglect is guaranteed to speed deterioration
    vinyl and reducing its life exponentially.

  • Do not wipe dusty surfaces directly. Wash down first with soapy water before wiping down with a soft, clean towel. 
    Dust particles on a micro scale are tiny abrasive rocks; when wiped directly off of dry surface, cause small tears and cuts to the
    vinyl (and for all surfaces including paint for that matter). As such, lubricating the surface with soapy water allows the dust to be
    lifted up first before being carried off the substrate.

  • Use mild cleaning detergent and water mix. Most dish wash soaps are ok
    Detergent should have a pH level between 5-9. Acids below pH5 breaks down vinyl. Simple dish washer soap works well.
     

  • Do not use any harsh chemicals containing strong soluble substances, citrus, petroleum distillates, or abrasive components.
    Strong detergent which include citrus and abrasive components do a great job of eating away strong stains;
    however, they also eat away the PVC based vinyl. This can lead to deterioration of the overall appearance and fading of
    the finish.     Rule of thumb: When in doubt, use the cleaning product on an inconspicuous area to test.
     

  • Be careful using high pressure washers.Aside from temperature (rule: keep it well below 180°Fahrenheit) and pressure
    (another rule: keep it below 2,000 PSI on your pressure washer), you’re going to want to use a spray nozzle that’s at least one foot
    away from your wrap. A 40° nozzle with a really wide spray pattern is  best.
     

  • Be careful using Drive through car washes. Automated car washes have brushes that move at very high speeds and apply too
    much pressure to your vinyl car wrap. Also, water jets at automated car washes can, and occasionally do, lift seams and edges and occasionally tear vinyl. It’s not common but it does happen from time to time. Be careful.
     

  • Do not let tree sap, bird droppings, or other contaminants sit 
    Letting difficult stains like tree sap, tar, bird droppings, or fuel spills stay on your vinyl wrap can degrade the quality of your wrap
    in the short term and harden into a real pain in the neck long term.
     

  • keep out of the sun and harsh elements as much as possible.By parking the vehicle indoors, when possible, you'll reduce
    the drying affect of the sun, and increase the longevity of the material    ​
     

Washing the wrap is very important to maintain its vibrance and longevity!
Keep your vinyl clean and out of the sun as much as possible and it will last a long time to come!
